Indiana Coach Mike Davis was suspended for one game Monday for his on-court outburst at a referee during a loss to Kentucky this month.

The Big Ten Conference said it accepted Indiana’s recommendation for the punishment. The conference also publicly reprimanded Davis and told him to write an apology to the officials who worked the Dec. 21 game.

Davis will miss Tuesday’s game when the Hoosiers (8-2) play at Ball State. He had faced up to a six-game suspension under Big Ten rules.
