Woman Arrested After Smokestack Protest
From Times Wire Reports
An environmental protester dressed in a Catwoman suit was arrested Wednesday after spending close to seven hours perched 125 feet above ground on a smokestack at a fiberglass manufacturing plant.
Celeste Draisner, 27, of Mountain Gate, a community just a few miles from Shasta Lake, said she was protesting health dangers she says the plant poses.
The Knauf Fiber Glass factory has been closed for years amid concerns over emissions and water use.
But it could reopen within a week.
