Idaho (7-13, 4-7) at UC Irvine (16-6, 9-2), 5:30, Fox Sports Net 2, KUCI-FM (88.9)--The Anteaters must not get caught looking ahead to Saturday’s showdown against Utah State. Sophomore center Adam Parada is shooting 64% from the field in Big West Conference play. Idaho is the lowest-scoring team in the conference. Irvine won, 92-54, at Moscow, Idaho on Jan. 12.

Cal State Northridge (8-11, 7-3) at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (12-7, 6-5), 7, KCSN-FM (88.5)-- The Matadors are coming off a 74-58 loss last week at Pacific. Senior guard Markus Carr ranks third in the Big West in scoring (17.4) and leads the conference in assists (4.8) and steals (2.8). Sophomore center Varnie Dennis averages 15.3 points for the Mustangs, who are 8-1 at home in Kevin Bromley’s first full season as coach.

Pacific (14-6, 6-4) at UC Santa Barbara (12-8, 6-5), 7--The Gauchos have lost some momentum after an 8-2 start. They hit a low Saturday at Idaho when they lost to the Vandals, 40-37, despite giving up only nine field goals. Junior forward Mark Hull has been in a shooting slump the last three weeks.

Utah State (16-4, 8-3) at Long Beach State (8-14, 4-7), 7:30--Long Beach will try to extend its winning streak to three games after winning Big West road games at Cal State Fullerton and UC Riverside last week. Senior center Travis Reed scored 30 points against Fullerton and 31 against Riverside to become the first 49er to record consecutive 30-point games since Ed Ratleff in 1973. Junior forward Desmond Penigar, a transfer from Ventura College, is averaging a team-high 17.8 points a game for Utah State, which defeated Long Beach, 70-66, on Jan. 12 at Logan, Utah.
