Quick Ruling Sought on Airport Vote
Burbank city officials asked a Los Angeles Superior Court judge Thursday to quickly rule on the legality of a voter-approved measure that limits expansion of Burbank Airport.
The city asked for the ruling in a lawsuit it filed last fall against the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority.
The city brought the suit to determine whether Measure A violates state and local laws.
Last month a judge rejected a plea by the Airport Authority to dismiss the suit. Measure A sets certain conditions before airport work can occur.
