Parks and Hoffman in Supervisor’s Race

Share

Linda Parks gives to our community in both big and small ways. I first met Linda when she fought to save the Conejo Creek soccer fields and wrote the parks initiative that protects parkland from being developed. Her votes on the Thousand Oaks City Council reflect her strong pro-resident views. Everyone in the Conejo Valley knows she led the fight to stop urban sprawl with the successful growth-control measure Save Open Space and Agricultural Resources.

Linda also volunteered at our school’s Halloween carnival. She arranged for us moms to donate pumpkins to the RAIN transitional living center that serves homeless families in Ventura County, so that the children could celebrate the holiday. Whether it’s being on our school’s site council or hiking with Scouts in Wildwood, Linda is there.

It’s the little things that count, it’s been said, and even though it’s nice that equipment from her opponent’s company was used in Operation Desert Storm 10 years ago, I still thank Linda for soccer games on Saturdays.

I’m voting for Linda Parks for Ventura County supervisor for both those big and small reasons.

Linda Parks asked for my financial support in the race for the Ventura County supervisor’s seat. I gave consideration to that request but decided instead to support businessman Randy Hoffman.

I support Randy Hoffman because I believe in his integrity, his business acumen and ability to add opportunities that will enhance the quality of life in Ventura County. Randy Hoffman is a businessman and an entrepreneur who supports new enterprise and jobs for the residents of Ventura County. It is my belief that to create additional opportunities within the county, we need to add a business leader to our Board of Supervisors, a successful leader who is in favor of a more dynamic atmosphere and who can manage the needs of a growing population.

Being an advocate of low taxes and a believer in middle-of-the-road conservatism rather than pure liberalism, I, like all residents, encourage good schools, safe neighborhoods and integrity within the government.

It is my belief that Randy Hoffman is the right individual to help move Ventura County forward in an effective way that will be beneficial to the people of this community. He is someone who is dedicated to handling the issues that affect our area, which will result in a safer and better Ventura County for all its citizens.
