Damage Put at $100,000 in Line Burst at School
At least $100,000 in damage occurred when a water line burst this week at an adult education school and flooded the 25,000-square-foot building, officials said Wednesday.
The water line burst late Monday night and filled the Technology Development Center in the 5200 block of Valentine Road with more than 2 inches of mud and water, officials said.
The building, which offers computer and other classes to 240 students, has been deemed unsafe because of possible damage to the foundation.
Officials have not announced where classes will be relocated.
Students should call the Ventura Unified School District at 641-5000 for information.
