Speaking of Awards ...

The People’s Choice Awards. The AFI Awards. The Golden Globes. The SAG Awards. The MTV Awards. The Oscars. Stop. Please stop. I cannot watch one more manufactured round of marketing and promotion called awards. I cannot watch one more anorexic starlet climb into one more designer gown with one more frozen smile on her face. I cannot watch one more montage of film clips I have seen a thousand times before. I cannot watch a group of famous and privileged people congratulating themselves on their fame and their privilege one more time.
