Ford Motor Co. is evaluating the sale of three businesses in Europe and the U.S. as the second-largest auto maker tries to raise $1billion from divestitures under its plan to end losses.

The company wants to sell all or part of Kwik-Fit, its European maintenance and light-repair business; Collision Team of America, a U.S.-based chain of collision-repair centers; and GreenLeaf, a U.S.-based chain of automotive recycling centers, a Ford spokesman said. Ford has hired Goldman Sachs Group Inc. to assist in the sale efforts.

The Dearborn, Mich.-based auto maker said Friday that it would sell assets as part of a restructuring plan. The company’s shares fell 31 cents to close at $15.04 on the NYSE.
