Councilwoman, Sister Shot at After Meeting

A Compton city councilwoman and her sister were shot at as they returned home from a city meeting, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Councilwoman Leslie Irving and her sister Kellie, a council liaison, were walking from their driveway when someone in a black sport utility vehicle shot at them just before midnight Tuesday, authorities said. Neither woman was injured.
Detectives are searching for a heavyset man in his mid-20s with a shaved head and mustache.
