Cyclist Hit by Car Dies of Injuries
A 54-year-old Camarillo man died Saturday morning from severe head injuries sustained a day earlier when he was struck by a car while bicycling, authorities said.
Menashi Khazoom was pronounced dead shortly after 10 a.m. at St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo. An autopsy was scheduled for today.
Khazoom was on his routine morning bike ride when he was hit about 7 a.m. while traveling south on Lewis Road in Camarillo. The driver of the car, David Sewell, 60, of Joshua Tree was treated for minor injuries.
The cause of the crash was being investigated Saturday.
