2 Teens Charged in South Gate Robbery
Two teenagers were charged Friday with robbery and assault with a deadly weapon in connection with an hourlong chase that ended when police shot an alleged accomplice to death.
The teens, whose names were not released because of their ages, 15 and 17, and two men allegedly held up a Public Storage on Tuesday in South Gate. Their sport utility vehicle then stalled on the northbound Golden State Freeway in Pacoima and caught fire.
As they fled the vehicle, police shot one man who pointed a gun, authorities said.
