From Staff Reports

The Huntington Beach Union High School District, which operates six schools in Huntington Beach, Westminster and Fountain Valley, has cut allocations to athletics and eliminated the job of district athletic director because of a $3.5-million budget shortfall.

The school board voted to cut funding for athletics and co-curricular programs from its general fund by $50,000 and suspended for one year extra allocations of $25,000 to Westminster High and $10,000 to Ocean View High to support athletics.
