Update--The Galaxy announced Friday that Simon Elliott and defender Ezra Hendrickson have signed new contracts with MLS, though terms were not disclosed. Hendrickson was the Galaxy’s most valuable player in 2001, Elliott in 2000. Galaxy midfielder Sasha Victorine is slowed by a tight hamstring and defender Tyrone Marshall is questionable because of a groin strain. Colorado forward Chris Carrieri has scored five of the Rapids’ last six goals.
