19 More File Suit Against Rail Lines in Crash
Nineteen more passengers who suffered injuries in an April train collision in Placentia have filed suit against the Burlington Northern Santa Fe rail line and Metrolink, alleging negligence and willful misconduct.
The lawsuit, filed in Orange County Superior Court, claims that the railway’s warning signal was inadequate and that railway officials were aware of the dangers.
Three people were killed and more than 200 were injured when a Burlington freight train hit a Metrolink train April 23.
Earlier this month, 10 other passengers filed a similar suit in Los Angeles Superior Court.
