A 32-year-old man suspected of killing his mother at her Quartz Hill home was arrested Tuesday in Kern County after a pursuit by California Highway Patrol officers, authorities said.

Gary Gregory was being held in lieu of $22,000 bail at the Kern County sheriff’s station in Bakersfield on charges including evading arrest, indecent exposure and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
