* Temporary staffing company RemedyTemp Inc. reported net income of $520,000, or 6 cents a share, for its fiscal third quarter, a drop from earnings of $929,000, or 10 cents a share, for the same period last year. The Aliso Viejo firm said its revenue fell 3% to $117.8 million for the quarter ended June 30.

* Sicor Inc. reported net income of $26.5 million, or 22 cents a share, for the second quarter, a 58% increase from $16.8 million, or 16 cents a share, a year ago. The Irvine pharmaceutical company said revenue increased 23% to $111.9 million.

* DDi Corp., an Anaheim maker of printed circuit boards and other electronics products, reported a second-quarter net loss of $85.6 million, or $1.78 a share. The results included one-time charges totaling $74.4 million. The company posted a net loss of $2.5 million, or 5 cents a share, for last year’s second quarter. Sales fell 28% to $62.1 million.

* Quality Systems Inc. a maker of medical records and management software that recently moved its headquarters to Irvine from Tustin, posted record net income of $1.6 million, or 26 cents a share, for the fiscal first quarter, 23% higher than the $1.3 million, or 20 cents a share, reported a year ago. Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 increased 13% to a record $12.3 million.

* SRS Labs Inc., a Santa Ana provider of audio and voice technologies, reported second-quarter net income of $204,553, or 2 cents a share, contrasted with a year-earlier net loss of $979,888, or 8 cents a share. Revenue declined 17% to $4 million.
