A high school principal was injured Tuesday during a student walkout over plans to increase class sizes in the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Tom Abraham, principal of John Marshall High School, broke his collarbone and a wrist when he was pushed to the ground by students rushing past him, said Liliam Castillo, a subdistrict superintendent.

District officials are investigating whether Abraham was pushed intentionally.

About 200 students participated in the walkout, marching to nearby King Middle School and back to protest the Board of Education’s decision in late April to increase some class sizes.
