What’s in a Name?

“Paradise Found: A Chinese Town Stakes Its Claim” (June 16), on the Chinese town that has changed its name to Shangri-La, reminded me of an experience I had. While traveling deep in the mountains in Japan, we came upon a small village. One of the establishments in the village had a large sign (in English) declaring itself to be “the Most Famous Restaurant in the World.”
Hope springs eternal....
