Four men were arrested Wednesday morning after a bank robbery in a Brea shopping complex.

Two men wearing nylon masks came into Quaker City Bank in the 200 block of State College Boulevard at 10:38 a.m. and demanded money from two tellers, police said. The robbers jumped onto the counter, struck a male teller and forced a female teller to the floor, Lt. Martin Needham said.

The robbers displayed no weapons, and no one was seriously injured, he said. Officials did not disclose how much was stolen.

An undercover police officer spotted the two driving a 1990 Honda in a nearby parking lot, where they met two other men. The four left together in a 1997 white Ford Thunderbird, leaving the Honda behind, Needham said.

The officer followed the car south on the Orange Freeway, he said. Several police vehicles, as well as a helicopter, joined the pursuit, following for about four miles before stopping the car near the interchange to the Riverside Freeway, Needham said. The four men were arrested. The car had been reported stolen.

Booked on suspicion of bank robbery were Jamal Thompson, 24, of Hawthorne; and Damon Lee Roberson, 29; Darnell Alexander, 22; and Marco Davis, 19, all from Los Angeles.
