From Times Staff Reports

An accident involving three buses late Wednesday appeared to have been caused when an MTA bus driver ran a red light, collided with another MTA bus and then struck a tour bus, police said.

None of the 27 people taken to hospitals received life-threatening injuries and most were released the same night, police said.

One person suffered a fractured neck and another a broken nose, but most of the injuries consisted of bruises and cuts, Fire Department officials said.
