Wells Fargo Debuts Multilingual Loan Center

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage last week opened its first multilingual mortgage operations center in Commerce. The center specializes in processing and underwriting home loans for low- to moderate-income borrowers residing in East Los Angeles.
Staff members speak eight languages, including English, Spanish, Cantonese, Tagalog, Chinese and Vietnamese. They also are familiar with down-payment assistance programs available in the area and work with local nonprofit housing agencies on programs geared for low-income buyers, said Mary Trigg, a bank spokeswoman.
