Store Worker Sentenced for Stealing Credit Data
From Times Staff Reports
A 22-year-old Ventura man has been ordered to spend 270 days in jail for stealing credit card numbers from the Blockbuster video store where he worked and using the Internet to buy airline tickets, authorities said Thursday.
Shane M. Wuth pleaded guilty to one count of felony identity theft in late May.
Police believe Wuth stole credit card data from four customers at the video store. He was arrested May 16 when he returned from traveling and went to pick up his paycheck at work.
