Nationwide Health Sells Stocks for $34.6 Million

Nationwide Health Properties, a Newport Beach real estate investment trust, said it sold 1.9 million shares of common stock to two institutional investors, resulting in net proceeds of about $34.6 million to invest in health-care properties. The sale was based on the Monday closing price of $19.58 a share, Nationwide said. The stock closed Thursday at $19.37, down 16 cents a share, on the New York Stock Exchange.
