Payroll Firm Axium Sold to Unity America
Axium Entertainment Services, which processes payroll and tracks spending for movie, TV and commercial productions, has been acquired for an undisclosed amount by Unity America Fund.
Unity is a private investment company. Axium said that founder and former Chief Executive Lynn White sold her stake in the company to Unity and has left the firm.
Axium’s clients include Sony Pictures Entertainment, Walt Disney Co., AOL Time Warner Inc. and DreamWorks SKG, as well as Viacom Inc. and its Paramount Pictures unit.
The 14-year-old company has 165 employees worldwide.
