Snowboarder Killed in Avalanche Is Identified

Officials on Saturday identified a snowboarder who was killed by an avalanche at the Sugar Bowl Ski Resort near Lake Tahoe. The victim was Jonathon Clodfelter, 30, of San Francisco.
He died Friday while descending Mt. Judah with two companions. A cornice they were standing on collapsed, unleashing an avalanche that buried Clodfelter in about 3 feet of snow, authorities said.
