From Times Staff Reports

A preliminary hearing for actress Winona Ryder, who is accused of shoplifting about $4,700 in merchandise from a Beverly Hills department store, has been postponed until next week, authorities said Thursday.

The hearing, originally scheduled for Thursday, is expected to provide the first public glimpse of the entire security videotape on which authorities have said Ryder can be seen removing anti-theft devices from store items and stuffing them in a bag.

Authorities charged Ryder last month with second-degree commercial burglary, grand theft of personal property, vandalism and possession of a controlled substance.
