Human Leg Bone in Shoe Found by Hiker

Sheriff’s homicide detectives and coroner’s investigators were searching the High Desert near a mobile home park Monday where human skeletal remains were found, including a leg bone clad in a shoe.
A hiker found the bones while walking his dog about 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the open desert near 60th Street East north of Avenue R, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
