From Times Staff Reports

The Los Angeles Police Commission is expected to decide Monday whether to hold a scheduled interview of Police Chief Bernard C. Parks in open session.

Parks, who is seeking reappointment, sent a letter to the commission Thursday requesting the Monday afternoon meeting be opened to allow the public to hear a presentation he has prepared in defense of his accomplishments. Police Commission President Rick Caruso said Friday he would consult with city attorneys before turning the question over to the rest of the commission.
