Mobile Hospitals Set Up for Earthquake Victims
Three makeshift hospitals set up by international troops in northern Afghanistan began treating earthquake victims.
A convoy of 36 trucks carrying 120 German, Danish and Dutch soldiers brought tents and generators to Nahrin, 105 miles from the capital, Kabul.
A team of five doctors and 20 medics was soon in place, dressing wounds and treating infections.
Two Russian mobile hospitals also began taking patients in the same region, Moscow’s Itar-Tass news agency reported.
Monday’s quake devastated nearly 80 villages and killed at least 600 people.
