2 Men Shot to Death in 15-Minute Span

Two people were shot to death within 15 minutes in the Mid-City area Monday night, apparently in unrelated attacks.
The body of Kwayne Jenkins, 24, was found near a car on the 2300 block of West 20th Street shortly after 11 p.m. Witnesses told police several men shot Jenkins and fled.
Minutes later, Tyzell Byron Carter, 21, was found wounded in the street on the 1800 block of Ogden Drive. He died about an hour later at a hospital.
