Boyfriend, 23, Shot in Car in Northridge
A 23-year-old Bell Gardens man was shot early Thursday as he sat in his car outside his girlfriend’s Northridge apartment complex, authorities said.
The man, whose name was not released, was about to drive away from the building at Wilbur Avenue and Parthenia Street when shots were fired about 2 a.m., said Sgt. John Kielbasa of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Division.
One bullet penetrated a car headrest and hit the man in the upper back, Kielbasa said.
The man was treated and released from Northridge Hospital Medical Center, authorities said.
