THQ Inc. will announce today that it landed a license to make video games for three upcoming films from Pixar Animation Studios. The six-year, multimillion-dollar deal gives Calabasas-based THQ worldwide rights to make games based on the movies “Finding Nemo,” “The Incredibles” and “Cars.” THQ, which also makes games based on Nickelodeon television shows such as “Sponge Bob Squarepants” and “Rugrats,” has worked with Pixar to develop games for the movies “Toy Story” and “A Bug’s Life.” THQ President Brian Fargo said he expects the license with Pixar and Disney Interactive Inc. to yield “hundreds of millions of dollars” in revenue.
