Postal Service Plans Some Priceless Stamps
WASHINGTON, D.C.
New stamps worth 37 cents but with no value printed on them will go on sale June 7 to help meet demand in response to the rate increase. First-class postal rates rise from 34 cents to 37 cents June 30.
The Postal Service said a nondenominated stamp worth 37 cents will show the U.S. flag and will be available in booklets of 20 stamps, coils and sheets of 100 stamps and folders of 18 stamps that fit in ATM machines.
A set of four nondenominated 37-cent stamps showing antique toys will also go on sale at that time. In addition, a stamp showing a star, worth 3 cents, will be available to cover the difference between the current and new letter rate. It will be available June 7.
Versions of these stamps showing the price will be available later.
