Man Killed in Failed Motel-Room Robbery

A 31-year-old man was fatally shot in a motel early Saturday during a botched robbery, police said.
Ernest McKee, who was staying at the Glendora Motel at 330 W. Alosta Ave., was shot once in the upper torso following a confrontation with three people, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Brian Lendman said.
Two men and a woman broke into McKee’s room just after 3 a.m. and attempted to rob him, Lendman said. McKee was shot after a struggle.
