Bill Would Ban Carrying Gun Parts at Airports

Lawmakers announced legislation Tuesday that would make it a misdemeanor to possess parts of firearms or fake weapons at the state’s airports and bus, train and subway stations.
The bill was drafted by state Sen. Jack Scott (D-Burbank) and sponsored by Los Angeles City Atty. Rocky Delgadillo.
The measure also would make it a misdemeanor for unauthorized people to enter a secure area of an airport, such as the airfield.
