Suspect Pleads Guilty in Homeless Man’s Slaying
From Times Staff Reports
A Ventura man pleaded guilty Monday to second-degree murder for participating in the beachside slaying of a homeless man last year.
Timothy Becker, 19, faces a minimum of 15 years in prison for kicking and beating James Clark, 58, who lay in a sleeping bag near a popular surf spot in Ventura.
Becker is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 13.
