National Airlines, a Las Vegas discount carrier that ceased operations Wednesday, will not offer refunds to customers. The airlines is advising customers to contact their credit card companies.
Three other regional airlines -- Alaska, America West and Frontier -- said they would accept National passengers’ tickets on a standby basis for flights on the same day as the original ticket and to the same cities.
National began service in May 1999, billing itself as Las Vegas’ hometown airline. National flew to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Reno, Seattle, Newark, N.J., and Washington.
