Bullock gets belligerent with builder

Winona Ryder didn’t take the stand during her recent shoplifting trial, but we might see Sandra Bullock testifying in court in Austin, Texas, come January.

She started a new Lake Austin house back in 1998 and became involved in a deal to profit from other development with its builder, Benny Daneshjou. Now, the house stands unfinished and unoccupied, and Bullock says every part of it needs doing over.

Bullock claims she has spent $6.5 million for a $1.5-million house. Daneshjou claims the popular actress has defamed him and is out to ruin him. There is even a criminal investigation into this matter.

State District Judge Jeanne Meurer says she is fed up with not getting anywhere in this matter and, according to a published report, will hear both sides in January.

And speaking of Winona, the British press is very much on her side, along with important people in Hollywood. They say, “She didn’t do a hit and run, for Pete’s sake. She didn’t kill anybody. Get off of it, and let Winona be Winona.”

It is difficult to take the Los Angeles court system seriously, ever since O.J. Simpson was acquitted.
