State High Court Denies Blake Bail
Robert Blake’s bail request was denied Wednesday by the California Supreme Court.
The 69-year-old actor had hoped to be released from the Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles until a preliminary hearing Dec. 11 in Van Nuys.
Blake has been held without bail since his April 18 arrest on charges that he fatally shot his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, 44, on May 4, 2001, near a Studio City restaurant.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Lloyd M. Nash denied Blake bail last month, saying the evidence supports the allegation that Blake ambushed Bakley.
