Rob Blake scored the go-ahead goal as the Colorado Avalanche rallied from a two-goal deficit to defeat the Phoenix Coyotes, 3-2, Thursday night at Phoenix in Patrick Roy’s record-setting 972nd game.

Roy, who passed Terry Sawchuk for most appearances by a goaltender, had 27 saves while extending his NHL leadership in career wins to 519.
