Gunman Slain After Infiltrating Settlement

A Palestinian gunman infiltrated a Jewish settlement in the northern West Bank, wounding at least five people before being shot dead, Israeli security sources said.
Two children were among the injured in the attack on Hermesh, near Jenin.
A settler representative told Israel Radio the gunman apparently struck at a settlement playground. Israeli Channel One television said the gunman was killed by two soldiers guarding the settlement. The army had no immediate comment.
