Cities’ Settlement With the MacDonald Family
Re “Slain Teen Informant’s Kin Settle for $1 Million,” Aug. 27:
I agree with Cindy MacDonald. Chad MacDonald’s life did touch others. It touched the residents of Brea and Yorba Linda to the tune of $1 million and lawyers’ fees that could have been in general funds to improve their communities.
I feel sorry for Cindy MacDonald’s loss, but she and her family refuse to face facts. Her son was not an informant for the Brea Police Department when he was killed. He had bought for his own use the drugs that got him arrested a second time and removed as an informant before he went to the drug house where he was killed.
