Former Coach Gets 3 Years for Sex Offense
A former high school basketball coach was sentenced Tuesday to three years in prison for having sex with a 15-year-old girl on the school basketball team.
Paul Calvin Clark III was convicted in June of two counts of oral copulation of a minor and one count each of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor and sexual penetration by a foreign object.
Clark, 35, had asked for probation, denying he had any sort of sexual contact with the girl. Prosecutors joined the girl’s parents in asking for prison time, saying Clark had abused his position of trust at Ribet Academy.
