Man Killed by Police Called Violent Robber
From Times Staff Reports
Authorities on Thursday described a Stanton man, who was fatally shot by police after a high-speed chase Wednesday, as a violent robber who hit at least nine Little Saigon sites in the last year.
Police said the 37-year-old, whose name has not been released, targeted senior citizens and small businesses that didn’t have surveillance cameras.
“He would often pistol-whip his victims, even if they cooperated with him,” said Westminster Police Lt. Mitch Waller.
