Update--Carlos Ruiz is taking the high road when questions arise regarding his desire to win the MLS scoring title. “Winning the individual award would be nice, but it’s not the most important thing,” said Ruiz, who, with 47 points is two behind New England’s Taylor Twellman. “The most important thing is winning the team championship.” Coach Sigi Schmid is already sure of another award for his first-year Guatemalan striker. “The league MVP is Carlos,” Schmid said. “There’s no question in my mind.” Eight of Ruiz’s league-leading 23 goals are game winners.
