‘Sleepy’ Bank Robber Has FBI on Alert
A bank robber, nicknamed the “Sleepy Bandit” because he looks as if he’s nodding off, is being sought by the FBI for robbing a bank in Cypress and another in Huntington Beach.
He is described as Latino, in his 30s, about 5 feet 8 and 180 pounds. He wears a baseball cap and a dark, plaid button-down shirt and bluejeans. Though no weapon has been seen during the robberies, authorities consider him armed and dangerous and say he should not be confronted.
Anyone with information should contact Special Agent Ken Stokes at (714) 542-8825.
