Dodgers Set 2003 Schedule

Share

The Dodgers aren’t quite finished in 2002, but they already have announced their 2003 schedule.

They will open against Arizona at Phoenix with an afternoon game Monday, March 31, with the home opener also against the Diamondbacks on April 7.

The Dodgers again will play six games against the Angels, but instead of facing the rest of the AL West in interleague play, they will take on four teams from the AL Central. However, they will not play the division champion Minnesota Twins.

The Kansas City Royals visit Dodger Stadium for the first time June 3-5, followed by the Chicago White Sox (June 6-8). The White Sox, who last faced the Dodgers in a non-spring training game during the 1959 World Series, make their first trip to Dodger Stadium since September 1965, when they played the Angels, who called Chavez Ravine home from 1962-65.

The Dodgers then make their inaugural visits to Detroit (June 10-12) to face the Tigers at Comerica Park and Cleveland (June 13-15) for three games against the Indians at Jacobs Field.
