Take the Train
“All Aboard for a Grand Canyon Getaway” (Weekend Escape, Sept. 22) was a marvelous story, except for the part where writer Rosemary McClure had to fight L.A. traffic and drive eight hours to get to Williams, Ariz., arriving at 4 a.m.
Amtrak has daily service to Williams, leaving Los Angeles at 6:45 p.m. and arriving at 4:35 a.m. Next time you want to go to the Grand Canyon, leave the car at home and take the train all the way.
