Regional Meeting Called on Iraqi Missiles
Kuwait has called an emergency meeting of fellow Arab states in the Persian Gulf region to discuss missile attacks from Iraq, diplomats said.
Sheik Sabah al Ahmed al Jabbar al Sabah, the foreign minister, told the Kuwait News Agency that arrangements were underway for a Gulf Cooperation Council meeting in Kuwait today.
He did not elaborate, but a Saudi diplomat in Riyadh said foreign ministers will discuss Iraq’s targeting of Kuwait with missiles. At least 17 have been fired since the war began. Most were intercepted.
