Double Our Flag Still Looking Out for No. 1

Share

Will the 55th time be the charm for Double Our Flag?

Almost certainly, no, but to find out the answer, check out tonight’s third race at 4 1/2 furlongs under jockey Nilo Brum.

A 9-year-old gelded son of Skip Out Front, Double Our Flag will be making his Los Alamitos debut after 54 losses while racing in Northern California for owner, trainer and breeder Monte Gomes.

In his illustrious career, Double Our Flag has managed to be second twice and third on seven occasions, but he has been no better than fifth in six races this year while racing at Golden Gate Fields and Bay Meadows.
